AVIAREPS named Air Cambodia’s cargo GSSA in Japan

AVIAREPS has been appointed as the Cargo General Sales & Service Agent (Cargo GSSA) for Air Cambodia in Japan, expanding its existing partnership with the airline.

AVIAREPS already represents Air Cambodia as its Passenger GSA in Japan. Under the new agreement, effective September 1, AVIAREPS Japan will oversee cargo sales and market development for shipments originating in Japan and bound for Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and Fuzhou, China.

As part of the mandate, AVIAREPS Japan will manage cargo space sales, reservations, customer service, customer engagement and relationship building with industry partners across the Japanese market.

The appointment is expected to support Air Cambodia’s cargo expansion in Japan, with AVIAREPS leveraging its air cargo expertise and global network to strengthen the airline’s commercial presence and develop cargo volumes in the market.

As of September 1, 2026, Air Cambodia operates three weekly flights on the Narita–Fuzhou–Phnom Penh route. The service is operated with Airbus A320 aircraft, which can carry approximately 2–3 tonnes of cargo even when passenger loads are at full capacity.

The appointment further expands AVIAREPS Japan’s aviation services portfolio. Over the past six months, the company has been appointed passenger GSA in Japan for Air Astana, Royal Jordanian Airlines and Air Mauritius, while also taking on cargo GSSA roles for Air Astana and Royal Jordanian Airlines.

The latest agreement strengthens AVIAREPS Japan’s ability to provide integrated passenger and cargo support to airlines and marks another step in the company’s expansion across the Japanese aviation market.

The company highlighted the importance of the Narita–Phnom Penh route in supporting trade and business links between Japanese and Cambodian companies.

Established in October 2025 as a fifth-freedom service, the route connects Narita International Airport with Phnom Penh’s Techno International Airport (KTI) and Fuzhou Changle International Airport (FOC), also providing cargo access to Fuzhou, China.

AVIAREPS said it will leverage its sales expertise in Japan and global network to strengthen customer support, increase awareness of Air Cambodia’s services and help drive cargo demand between the markets.
