American Airlines Cargo deploys Rotate platform for sales strategy
The platform will also integrate with the airline’s customer relationship management system.

American Airlines Cargo has selected technology provider Rotate to implement its Sales Cockpit and Sales Steering solutions as the carrier advances its commercial digitisation programme. The deployment is expected to provide the airline’s cargo commercial organisation with tools that support data-led sales planning and customer engagement across its network.
The implementation introduces a system designed to analyse market data and identify potential revenue opportunities for the sales organisation. Sales Cockpit evaluates market conditions and provides insights intended to help sales teams prioritise engagement with customers and respond to demand patterns.
The platform will also integrate with the airline’s customer relationship management system. According to the company, this integration is expected to allow the cargo sales organisation to access customer data and market insights within existing workflows and align sales activity with demand trends.
Sales Steering complements the system by providing tools to support network planning and capacity allocation. The platform analyses demand signals across trade lanes and supports commercial teams in aligning cargo capacity with available demand across the airline’s passenger network.
American Airlines Cargo operates within the passenger network of American Airlines, which plans to operate more than 7,000 daily departures worldwide during the upcoming summer schedule. The carrier expects the platform to support decision-making across this network by identifying demand patterns and potential capacity utilisation opportunities.
Roger Samways, Vice President, Commercial for American Airlines Cargo, highlighted the role of the partnership in the airline’s digital strategy.
“We’re excited to work with Rotate as we continue strengthening our digital and commercial capabilities. Sales Cockpit and Sales Steering will help our teams engage customers with greater insight and consistency while ensuring we’re prioritising opportunities that matter most. This partnership supports our commitment to delivering a more responsive, data-driven customer experience across our global network.”
The project reflects the adoption of commercial data platforms within the air cargo sector as airlines seek to improve forecasting, pricing and network planning. Software platforms designed for cargo sales and revenue management have gained traction as carriers handle volatile demand patterns and capacity shifts across international trade lanes.
Rotate said its systems are designed to convert operational and market data into insights that can support commercial decision-making. The company has deployed its software with other airlines and continues to develop products aimed at commercial planning, pricing and market intelligence for cargo operators.
Ryan Keyrouse, Co-founder and CEO at Rotate, shared, “We’re proud to support American Airlines Cargo as they advance their commercial digitisation. Their team brings deep vision and engagement to the project, and together we’re tailoring our solutions to deliver meaningful value to their organisation. We look forward to a strong and lasting partnership.”
Headquartered in the Netherlands with operations in Malaysia, Rotate provides consulting, software and market data services for the air cargo sector. The company is also a member of CargoTech, a group formed to support the adoption of digital technologies across cargo operations and commercial processes.
