DHL Supply Chain opens new high-capacity logistics centre in Halle
The Halle logistics centre includes three operational halls, each spanning 10,500 square metres, and is equipped with 27 loading docks.

DHL Supply Chain has opened a new logistics centre in Halle (Saale), marking its third site in the area and expanding its local footprint. Fully operational and integrated into the DHL Leipzig-Halle Campus, the facility is already supporting its first customers. This state-of-the-art facility offers a total warehouse area of 34,000 square metres, has the capacity to accommodate up to 55,000 pallet spaces, and is designed to meet the evolving needs of customers across various sectors.
The Halle logistics centre includes three operational halls, each spanning 10,500 square metres, and is equipped with 27 loading docks. Built to meet the highest sustainability standards (DGNB Gold), the site features photovoltaic systems and energy-efficient LED lighting, reflecting DHL's goals to support customers with emission-reduced logistics services. The site currently employs more than 450 people, with an additional 100 jobs to be created once the extension building is fully utilised.

The new logistics centre also supports the growth of existing customers already based on the DHL campus.”
The facility is supported by excellent multimodal transport links, with direct access to the national DHL parcel and express network, major rail and highway routes, and Leipzig-Halle Airport, home to the world’s largest DHL Express air freight hub.
