Feb 13, 2019: Yusen Logistics Benelux has opened a new state-of-the-art logistics centre in Moerdijk, The Netherlands.

The new facility will be company's new headquarters and will replace the current headquarters in Ridderkerk.

With a storage capacity of 30,000 m, accessible via 30 loading docks, along with 900 m of office facilities, the Moerdijk logistics site is strategically located in the Industrial Park %u2018Port of Moerdijk', West-Brabant, the fourth and furthest inland-located seaport in The Netherlands.

The location offers excellent connections with the deep-sea ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp, the airports of Schiphol (Amsterdam) and Brussels-Zaventem (Brussels), as well as extensive forwarding options to European inland destinations.

The facility has been built to the highest standards in terms of sustainability, efficiency and safety. The safety level of the bonded warehouse is in accordance with the Transported Asset Protection Association B (TAPA-B) requirements.

Bruno Jacques, managing director of Yusen Logistics Benelux & Nordics commented: "Moerdijk is situated in the center of two of the most important European sea ports, Rotterdam and Antwerp, and the airports of Amsterdam and Brussels, enabling us to provide both our local and international customers with the opportunity to also use our Customs and Freight forwarding services next to our extensive warehousing and road transport services."

Yusen Logistics in its release also informs that it will be welcoming its launch customer at the site and a large part of the warehouse will be reserved.
