Worldwide air cargo capacity slips 2%: WorldACD
The only increase in capacity came from Middle East & South Asia (+1 per cent), with the largest decrease from North America (-4 per cent).
Last week (week 44), worldwide chargeable weight decreased by 1 per cent compared with a week earlier (week 43). Asia Pacific was the only origin region with a slight increase in chargeable weight (+1 per cent). Worldwide capacity was down by 2 per cent. The only increase in capacity came from Middle East & South Asia (+1 per cent), with the largest decrease from North America (-4 per cent). Worldwide yield/rate (in USD per kg) increased for the third week in a row.
