The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) and Messe München have announced that the 2+2 event will be held September 21-24 at the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco, California. The joint event, possibly the first international gathering of industry professionals since Covid-19 ground everything to a halt, will bring together air cargo leaders and experts from other transport modes, as well as from logistics service providers to discuss logistics and innovation.

“We are excited to work together with our partner Messe München to deliver an in-person event this fall that will allow us to reunite, reconnect, renew and refocus. Innovation being the theme for the event we expect delegates will have plenty of unique ideas to share from their experiences during this time of crisis. We look forward to seeing everyone for this engaging and highly interactive event in San Francisco,” said Steven Polmans, chairman, TIACA.

The 2+2 programme will involve two days of comprehensive high level conference program - for the air cargo as well as the multimodal transport logistic community. The event will focus on the key industry challenges and future proofed solutions can be implemented based on the agile innovations demonstrated these past 12 months.

This will be followed by two days of an innovation tour around Silicon Valley, which will involve company visits and hands-on knowledge exchange.

“TIACA and Messe München’s continued partnership aimed at creating the most inspiring meeting places for the logistics community naturally brought the TIACA Executive Summit and the transport logistic Americas Forum together in San Francisco. As the first meeting point for the industry after the start of the pandemic, it also serves as a warm-up until we can meet again in the USA for the air cargo Forum Miami 2022,” adds Gerhard Gerritzen, member of the management board at Messe München.

Polmans and Gerritzen jointly comment, “TIACA and Messe München realize the situation with COVID-19 is still not normal but after careful consideration and review we feel we can plan a live event with the necessary prevention protocols in place. Our team have worked closely with our suppliers to allow for refund flexibility in the event of cancellation. Delegates can therefore book in complete confidence for what will be a ground breaking and interactive event.”
