Swissport wins top ground handling agent award 2017 for second consecutive year

March 14, 2018: For the second consecutive year, Swissport Zurich has won the ‘Best Ground Handling Agent of the Year in Customer Services’ 2017 award from Cathay Pacific. Swissport was awarded two more accolades for its Zurich airport performance. 

Philip Read, station manager, Cathay Pacific at Zurich Airport said: “Results in 2017 were better than 2016. It’s an outstanding achievement, and says a lot about the commitment of the Swissport Cathay Pacific team. From positive attitude to professional appearance to customer service, everything must harmonise and flow into our evaluation.”

In addition to the recent award, Cathay Pacific Zurich along with with Swissport Zurich also received the ‘Best European Airport Performance 2017’ award for the second time in succession, and took third place in the ‘Airport of the year 2017’ category, with competition from all 98 stations on Cathay Pacific's route network.

“In order to meet the needs and wishes of its customer airlines in the best possible way, Swissport Zurich maintains various ;dedication teams’. One of these is the Cathay Pacific Team, which has been specially trained according to Hong Kong specifications, and is fully geared to the customer's needs. Thanks to our Asian team members, information in Cantonese and Mandarin is always available in addition to German, French and English,” said Philip.
