January 12, 2018: SF Express and SF Airlines have recently entered into a new chapter in the development of its international air cargo network with the launch of Osaka-bound Boeing 737 from Nanjing Lukou International Airport.

The new Nanjing-Osaka route is SF Express's first international cargo route to have a regular daily chartered flight that leaves every weekday.

SF Express's International Business Unit CEO David William Adams said: "Providing superior service has always been our promise to customers. The opening of the Nanjing-Osaka air cargo route further enhances our international air express transportation network. By combining our air, ground, and information networks, we are able to provide an integrated, comprehensive logistics solution for our cross-border customers."

SF Express Japan general manager Simon Truss said that the Nanjing-Osaka air cargo route will help to raise awareness in Japan of SF Express's capabilities as they grow in tandem with expanding trade ties between China and Japan. At the ceremony, Nanjing airport management and officials from the Jiangsu Provincial Postal Administration also expressed their support.

Wan-Ping Li, an official from the city's Jiangning economic development zone, noted that opening up air network capabilities was crucial to local economic development, and that SF Express's contributions in the air logistics space make it an important partner in the city's bid to expand its international reach.

Li also expressed his desire for more companies to help the city in achieving its international goals.

With support from the city of Nanjing and Nanjing airport officials, cargo transported by SF Express will be able to pass through the customs clearance process more quickly. Additionally, the air cargo route will run on a regular schedule that includes daily flights between Monday and Friday, making five round trips every week.

As one of China's historic capital cities and an important trade hub in eastern China, Nanjing has seen rapid economic growth over the last few years, and as a result its air logistics capabilities have become more and more sophisticated as well.

At the same time, as a leading express delivery provider, SF Express has been focusing on expanding its logistics network to provide first-mile pick-up and last-mile delivery capabilities throughout the entire country.

SF Express hopes that with this new air cargo service, it can help more companies from the Yangzte River Delta region expand overseas, as well as help more foreign companies enter the China market.
