Schindler opts for Imperial as its spare parts logistics partner in Germany

March 23, 2018: In order to bolster its spare parts logistics operations, leading lift and escalator manufacturer, Schindler Deutschland AG & Co. KG, recently relocated from Berlin to the multi-user warehouse operated by Imperial Logistics International B.V. & Co. KG, in Stockstadt am Rhein, Germany.

Since 2012, Imperial Logistics has been offering its warehouse services to several well-known clients, including engineering, plant construction and building equipment sectors.

Imperial Logistics will manage the supply of spare parts and kits to various dealers from its multi-user warehouse situated in an area admeasuring 13,000 square metres, based south of Frankfurt/Main.

It will be delivering over 2,000 items every working day. In addition to the standard processes, such as picking, packaging, shipping and processing returns, it will also offer supplementary services. It includes assembling sets of parts (kit building), replenishing supplies for fitters, and supplying to building sites.

In addition to the Stockstadt facility, Imperial Logistics has been operating another multi-user warehouse for spare parts logistics in Herten, since several years.

Both multi-user warehouses guarantee a steady utilisation of the warehouse space and personnel, which will help its clients reduce costs, and improve efficiency synergies.
