Rhenus to offer warehousing and distribution services to ConCung in Binh Duong
April 03, 2018: In a strategic move to foray into the booming Vietnamese contract logistics market, Rhenus Logistics Vietnam recently signed a three years contract with ConCung, a leading mother and baby products retail chain in the region, to offer warehousing and nationwide distribution services.
Rhenus recently commenced its new multi-user hub, in Binh Duong, which will provide dedicated warehousing and nationwide distribution services to ConCung.
The dedicated warehouse is located in an area admeasuring 4,000 square metres. A team of over 60 staff will operate a 24/7 service to receive, handle, store, order pick, and dispatch ConCung’s products. Additionally, Rhenus will provide quality control monitoring on selected products, special handling, labelling, and fulfilment for its e-commerce business.
For Rhenus, which is one of the leading international logistics service providers in Europe, the deal has opened up doors into the Vietnamese contract logistics market. It will also provide an opportunity to showcase its extensive logistics experience, and best practices in the local environment.
In next three years, Rhenus is planning to invest in its nationwide warehousing and distribution functions.
ConCung and Rhenus will focus on environmental friendliness, by optimising truck utilisations and paperless operational processes.
Operating over 250 outlets across the country, ConCung is Vietnam’s largest retail chain for mother and baby care products. Fuelled by an innovative business model and a relentless customer focus, ConCung is fast expanding is footprint across Vietnam.
