March 13, 2018: In a recent development, Qatar Airways Cargo has extended its cargo handling contract with WFS at the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.

In addition to managing its existing cargo handling contract, WFS is currently providing ramp transportation for Qatar Airways to move cargo to and from the warehouse for its daily three flights from Paris to Doha.

The move follows EVA Air’s decision to extend its contract with WFS in Paris, which includes ramp transportation as well as cargo handling. The airline operates a daily flight from Paris CDG to Taipei.

WFS is the largest cargo handler at Paris CDG, and serves over 150 airlines. In 2017, it witnessed a rise in cargo volume by over 10 percent, compared to the previous year.

Stéphane Scholving, director of cargo sales Europe, WFS said: “It’s always encouraging when major airline customers decide you award you responsibility for their entire supply chain, from acceptance of cargo to delivery to the aircraft side. Qatar Airways and EVA Air have shown this commitment to WFS in Paris to take control of their end-to-end services. We are confident of delivering quality services to both airlines and their customers.”
