PETRONAS appoints Kuehne + Nagel as end-to-end logistics partner

July 17, 2018: In a latest move, Kuehne + Nagel won a three year logistics and supply chain contract with Malaysia’s leading fully integrated Oil and Gas government-owned organisation with operations in over 50 countries in the world, Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS).

The contract which was won as part of a competitive tender was signed last Friday in Kuala Lumpur City, Malaysia.

As part of the contract, logistics giant will assume end-to-end integrated supply chain responsibilities for the company. Malaysia is the world's third-largest exporter of liquefied natural gas and the second-largest oil and natural gas producer in South East Asia. Support includes carrying out freight forwarding services, logistics management plus off-site and on-site warehouse operations.

PETRONAS selected Kuehne + Nagel for its full suite of logistics services, comprising air, sea, overland and Logistics Control Centres in four strategic hubs. Its industry-leading technology such as the One Global System which offers customers precise and real-time visibility was another competitive edge, as it aligns with PETRONAS’ digitisation strategy.
