Kuehne+Nagel has appointed Coen van der Maarel as managing director Kuehne+Nagel India, Sri Lanka and Maldives as of July 1, 2021. In this role, Coen will be leading a team of 750 logistics experts in 28 locations, responsible for driving Kuehne+Nagel’s further growth. Coen will be based in New Delhi.

Coen brings with him over 30 years of leadership experience and immense knowledge of the global logistics industry. In his previous assignment, Coen was senior vice president for customer development, global contract logistics, based at the Kuehne+Nagel corporate headquarters in Schindellegi, Switzerland.

“We are looking forward to having Coen join the team at Kuehne+Nagel India and believe his wealth of experience will be a tremendous benefit to lead Kuehne+Nagel India in its growth and bring the company to the next level,” said Jens Drewes, president of Kuehne+Nagel Asia Pacific.

Coen said, “After working with the Kuehne+Nagel India team for the past years, spending three months on the ground in New Delhi to support customer development, I am excited to be back in India and work with the same highly qualified and experienced team.
