JAS Worldwide to acquire Geopost subsidiary Tigers
Since its creation in Hong Kong in 2011, Tigers has developed a suite of tech-enabled integrated logistics services, from freight forwarding to omni-channel supply chain management, for corporate clients around the globe.
JAS Worldwide, the global freight forwarding services provider headquartered in Atlanta, GA, has signed a Share Purchase Agreement with Geopost, the international parcel division of French group La Poste, whereby JAS will acquire Tigers, a freight forwarding and supply chain management subsidiary of Geopost, once all regulatory approvals have been obtained from the relevant authorities.
Since its creation in Hong Kong in 2011, Tigers has developed a suite of tech-enabled integrated logistics services, from freight forwarding to omni-channel supply chain management, for corporate clients around the globe. Tigers operates through 70 offices in 10 countries, including 32 state-of-the-art omni-channel distribution hubs, and has 935 employees.
Marco Rebuffi, CEO of JAS, says: “Through the acquisition of Tigers, JAS is broadening its range of logistics services, adding omni-channel supply chain management capabilities, supported by advanced digital solutions, to help our customers ramp up their B2C e-commerce operations. JAS' and Tigers' teams share the same entrepreneurial spirit which has underpinned the success of both companies and will ensure the continuous development of the enlarged group”.
Olivier Storch, Geopost executive vice president for Asia-Pacific & Americas, says, “Geopost has, at an early stage, identified the development potential in Tigers' innovative approach to logistics. Under the Geopost parentage, Tigers has delivered an impressive growth on the back of booming e-commerce. With its global footprint and vast experience in solving the logistics challenges of its customers, JAS is the ideal partner to bring Tigers to the next step in its successful journey”.
