inter.PAL rolls out digititsation of pallet transport operations for Saloodo

March 15, 2018: Berlin-based inter.PAL, which specialises in digitising pallet exchanges, depositing and pooling solutions for Euro pallets, as well as other interchangeable loading equipment, will enable digitisation of overall pallet transport operations for Saloodo, an innovation that will benefit its customers.

inter.PAL’s pallet transport operation will help set up senders' shipments on Saloodo’s platform, and allow transport service providers to use the same interface to submit their transportation bids. Once the transaction is complete, the sender can decide whether to use inter.PAL to exchange the loading equipment or to handle it himself.

The easiest option is to exchange loading equipment with Saloodo’s partner, inter.PAL. To do this, the sender and the recipient needs to open a free-of-charge online pallet account on inter.PAL.

Customers can do this separately, or can simply send the recipient an invitation through their inter.PAL account. Upon receipt of goods, customers can use inter.PAL to settle their receivables incurred.

At a later date, the credit balance can be paid out, physically settled or carried forward with regular online payment systems, or with a cash card. It will enable customers to store the payment method for future transport operations.

With the digital interface, customers of Saloodo can save on invoicing time, costs for transferring pallets or other load carriers, and will no longer have to run separate pallet accounts for every customer. As a result, the pallet cost is expected to offer 100 percent transparency.
