Feb 26, 2020: In response to the restricted air freight capacity situation caused by COVID-19, DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics has drawn up a charter contingency plan where customers can opt for a premium flight service from Frankfurt to China.

Due to the coronavirus epidemic, many airlines have discontinued their flights to China, leading to capacity bottlenecks in the market. To combat this situation, the DACHSER Global Management Air team has deployed several scheduled charter flights to China. The first charter flight carrying various medical supplies to Shanghai was completed successfully.

The logistics service provider is offering its customers a robust and reliable premium flight service between China and the world. Further flights from Frankfurt are planned until the end of March, and options from Europe, the US, and Latin America are also being considered. “This dedicated solution enables us to offer our customers reliable transport capacities to China and thus respond to the restrictions associated with the novel coronavirus,” says Timo Stroh, head of global air freight at DACHSER.
