CMA CGM Air Cargo agrees to purchase 4 new A350 freighter aircraft

Launched in February 2021, our air cargo division, CMA CGM AIR CARGO, has today a modern fleet of 4 Airbus A330-200F which will be completed by two Boeing 777 freighter aircraft, starting in spring 2022.

CMA CGM Air Cargo, a part of CMA CGM and Airbus have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the purchase of four A350F freighter aircraft. The order will be finalised in the coming weeks and will lift CMA CGM’s total Airbus fleet to nine aircraft, including five A330-200F.

“I am proud to announce the acquisition of 4 new Airbus A350F, which will supplement our existing fleet. We will become the launch airline of this brand new aircraft. This investment in an efficient and future-proof full freighter is a strong evidence of the commitment of the CMA CGM Group towards air freight and providing agile solutions to take care of your cargo in better ways. The A350F will also be a major milestone towards more sustainable air cargo, with an improved fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions,” announced Olivier Casanova, CEO, CMA CGM on Linkedin.

With a carrying capacity of more than 100 metric tons and a range of nearly 9,000 kilometers, the A350F will enable us to strengthen our long-haul offer, to better meet your needs.
