Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific has made changes to its senior management team on the cargo side of the business with the appointment of Tom Owen as director of cargo.

Owen held the position of director of people at the airline for the last five years. Earlier, he has held various leadership roles at the airline and at other Swire Group companies.

Besides Owen, the airline has made a couple of other important appointments. Nelson Chin has assumed the role of regional general manager North East Asia and will be based in Tokyo. Meanwhile, George Edmunds has been assigned the role of general manager commercial. Edmund currently heads revenue management operations for the airline’s passenger business.

Both Owen and Edmunds will take over their new role in September.
