ATRAN, Volga-Dnepr organise complex multimodal delivery from Germany to Russia
ATRAN Airlines (ATRAN), an express carrier in the Volga-Dnepr Group, organised a multimodal complex delivery of spare parts for a flameless combustion installation. The transportation was carried out jointly with SIS Logistik GmbH from Frankfurt (Germany) to Perm (Russia) using various types of transport.
Arriving from Frankfurt to Cologne by truck, the equipment was loaded aboard a Boeing 737-400SF cargo plane for further shipment to Vnukovo International Airport, where ATRAN is based. For the last segment of 1,154 km from Moscow to Perm, truck delivery was chosen by Volga-Trucks, which has been part of the Volga-Dnepr group since 1994 and specialises in land delivery of goods in Russia, the CIS and Europe, including major airports. Experienced specialists of Volga-Trucks were also able to arrange internal customs transit in the shortest possible time and transport the goods to Perm.
“This is an excellent example of a Freight Supermarket in action and the first shipment for which we were able to organize VTT together with Volga-Trucks. Having experience in organizing various logistics schemes using the unique fleet of the group's cargo aircraft, now we are moving to another level in multimodal delivery, resorting to the experience and expertise of Atran and Volga-Trucks specialists," commented Vasily Zhukov, commercial director of ATRAN.
Ildar Kamaletdinov, head of the Volga-Trucks sales department, noted, “Successful delivery by the Freight Supermarket is an achievement and result of well-coordinated teamwork, which at first glance may seem easy. In fact, hours of hard work remain behind the scenes, but it's all worth it when you see that another multimodal project with a group carrier has ended. We are constantly working to improve the quality of services provided, expand the fleet of trucks and digital opportunities for safe, fast and reliable truck delivery. "
ATRAN specialists carefully studied all stages of the complex transportation process, selecting delivery options, drawing up the necessary documentation and tracking the status of the cargo.
