January 8, 2018: Leading new-generation IT solutions provider to the global travel, transportation and logistics industry, IBS Software has recently roped in Anand Krishnan as its chief executive officer.

According to reports, Krishnan would be reporting to VK Mathews, group executive chairman of IBS Software and is mandated to helm its worldwide operations and over 3,000 employees, globally.

“Anand's prior experience in operating global businesses, leading multinational and multicultural workforces and driving growth makes him exceptionally suitable for leading IBS through the next phase of journey,” said Mathews.

“With over 170 customers and counting, IBS is at an inflection point. I am confident that Anand will be able to help unleash its potential and drive towards its goals,” he said.

Anand brings to IBS a 20-year track industry expertise of building high-growth software businesses. Most recently, he served as executive vice-president at Canonical Software where he led the commercialisation and growth of the Ubuntu business.

Previously, he held several executive positions over a decade at Microsoft Corp, and was responsible for launching and growing Microsoft's Cloud business internationally. Before that, he was an early-hire at enterprise software startup Trilogy Software and helped scale the company to triple-digit millions in revenues.

Anand holds a Masters in Computer Engineering from the University of Texas, and an MBA from Stanford University. He is based in London.

“IBS has deep customer relationships, a track record of products that deliver as promised, strong domain expertise and a deep pool of talent to pull from,” said Anand.
