Alliance Ground International signs for CHAMP API
The API service enables the enhancement, further customisation, and acceleration of value by interweaving AGI in-house and CHAMP systems.
Alliance Ground International (AGI) has signed for CHAMP API to be used in concert with CHAMP’s Cargospot Handling system. The API (Application Programming Interface) service enables the enhancement, further customisation, and acceleration of value by interweaving AGI in-house and CHAMP systems.
At the forefront of automating its internal processes, AGI and CHAMP worked together to adapt a specific API for Cargospot for use by new scale hardware equipment to automate the transmission of weight data directly into Cargospot. Furthermore, through the use of CHAMP’s API gateway service, AGI’s in-house experts are able to generate more efficiency by further integrating proven features and functionality around Cargospot and other CHAMP services on their own.
The CHAMP API gateway includes a developer portal designed to facilitate the independent development by our customers. The portal enables developers to view the list of available CHAMP APIs, register to use them and test them before integrating them in new software.
AGI has seen efficiency improvements by avoiding manually entered data and duplication through digital collaboration. This allows AGI to adapt their own processes seamlessly and in real-time with Cargospot.
“APIs give us a lot of freedom,” says Juan Cobo, director of information technology, at Alliance Ground International. He adds, “By creating seamless links throughout our systems with Cargospot, we are able to streamline our processes without creating awkward workarounds. We are looking forward to rolling out our new weight scales in multiple locations.”
“Alliance Ground International is moving to the next stage of automation,” explains Nicholas Xenocostas, VP Commercial & Customer Engagement at CHAMP Cargosystems. He adds, “By using APIs, AGI is maximizing the efficiency of the CHAMP solutions they are already using and directly integrating them with their existing systems and workflows. The possibilities are endless.”
