Ninatrans, a specialist in time-critical transport based in Leuven, Belgium, has acquired the British transport company Cranleigh Freight Services (CFS).

"With the acquisition, Ninatrans takes an important step in its European growth strategy. Following previous acquisitions in Germany and Spain, the company is now also strengthening its presence in the United Kingdom," says an official release from Ninatrans.

CFS, based in Cranleigh (Surrey), has long been a well-established player in the niche of time-critical transport, and the company has built a strong reputation in sectors such as motorsport, events, automotive and aerospace, the release added.

"Graham Young, the current Managing Director and son of founders Colin and Pauline Young, will remain on board to ensure the continuity and further growth of CFS. His expertise and in-depth knowledge of the British market are valuable assets in this joint growth story."

Benny Smets, CEO, Ninatrans says: "The acquisition of CFS enables us to significantly expand our transport services between Europe and the United Kingdom. We not only gain a strong local presence but also welcome a team with exceptional experience in specialized and time-critical transport."

CFS employs around 40 people and operates a fleet of approximately 30 trucks and trailers, the release added.
