Kuehne+Nagel has inaugurated a new Tech Centre in Chennai, India, as part of its efforts to expand its global engineering capabilities and accelerate the development of digital logistics solutions.
The centre will support the development and scaling of proprietary technology as demand grows for greater supply chain visibility, speed, resilience, and customer experience. Chennai was selected for its established business ecosystem and access to skilled engineering and digital talent.
By early 2027, around 250 technology professionals are expected to work at the centre, contributing to global platforms including SALOG and Kuehne+Nagel’s digital forwarding system for managing sea and air freight shipments.
The logistics company is working with Accenture to support workforce development and accelerate the centre’s operations.
Christina Raab, Market Unit Lead Central and Eastern Europe at Accenture, said, “The launch of Kuehne+Nagel’s Tech Centre in Chennai reflects the strength of our strategic partnership. By combining our technology and operational capabilities with local talent, we are helping build a strong foundation for the centre to scale and support Kuehne+Nagel’s future growth.”
