Dave Clark, former CEO, Flexport and CEO, Worldwide Consumer, Amazon announced the founding team of Auger - the $100 million funded supply chain startup.

"Global supply chains are broken — too many are still being run on Excel," Clark wrote in a blog. "Operators spend countless, frustrating hours battling endless spreadsheets stitched together from disjointed, outdated Franken-software. It’s inefficient, chaotic, costly, sub optimal and completely unfit for the modern world.

"At Auger, we’re on a mission to fix this mess once and for all. But solving a problem this big takes more than ambition — it demands a team with grit, vision, and the experience to back it up. We’ve assembled exactly that: a group of proven disruptors and relentless innovators who are hell-bent on revolutionising supply chains—and who have done it before."

Auger’s founding crew includes eight experts from Amazon, who Clark says will "unveil groundbreaking technologies and solutions that will set a new standard for the supply chain industry." The team includes:

Russell Allgor, Chief Supply Chain Scientist
"A 24-year veteran of Amazon, he’s one of the leading minds behind their revolutionary fulfillment and network optimization systems. At Auger, Russell is continuing to build on his rich history of engineering solutions to redefine what’s possible in the supply chain. Before Amazon, Russell worked in R&D at Bayer in Germany, optimising chemical processes including creating a manufacturing process for the iconic red color for Legos."

Sanjay Dash, Chief Engineer
At Amazon, Dash led the creation of Just Walk Out, the AI behind checkout-free shopping; Dash Cart, a smart shopping assistant; and Amazon One, a biometric payment system. "At Auger, Sanjay is tackling an even bigger challenge: rebuilding the supply chain from the ground up with AI-driven platforms."

Brian Lent, Chief Analytics & Data Officer
Early in his career, Lent established Amazon’s first AI and data mining group, developing technology that continues to drive significant sales. "As Co-Founder and CEO of Plunk, he was building the first generative AI home analytics platform, transforming residential real estate into the Bloomberg of real estate using cutting-edge AI and computer vision. At Auger, he’s leading next-generation AI innovations to tackle the biggest inefficiencies in supply chain management and unleash new opportunities for businesses everywhere."

Alex Ceballos, President & CFO
During his 16-year tenure at Amazon and as a former VP of WW Corporate Development, Ceballos spearheaded some of the company’s most transformational initiatives. "Among his key accomplishments, he led the acquisition of Kiva Systems (now Amazon Robotics) which revolutionised Amazon’s global delivery network and many other acquisitions; established strategic partnerships that enabled the creation of Amazon Air, the company’s global cargo operations; and launched a $1 billion corporate venture fund —Amazon Industrial Innovation — to support strategic investments in robotics and automation."

Parikshit Savjani, Head, Customer Success
At Auger, Savjani’s building a world-class customer success engineering team that ensures our tech doesn’t just work—it thrives, Clark says in his blog.

AJ Wilhoit, Chief Product Officer
In her 13 years at Amazon, Wilhoit led initiatives like real-time map tracking and delivery photos that redefined consumer delivery expectations worldwide. "At Auger, she will focus on building AI-driven agentic applications and a customisable, consumer-grade user interface that simplifies supply chain management to connect businesses and customers in ways that were previously unimaginable."

Andrew Borthwick, Principal Scientist
Most recently, Borthwick spent 10 plus years at Amazon as the lead scientist on projects that brought powerful but easy-to-use automatic machine learning techniques to product demand forecasting and large-scale product classification. "At Auger, Borthwick aims to leverage his deep expertise in AI and ML to build transformative solutions for supply chain automation, ensuring Auger customers benefit from cutting-edge science that is seamlessly integrated into their workflows."

Jared Caldwell, Principal User Experience
During nearly 10 years at Amazon, Jared drove impactful design strategies in areas such as logistics, smart home and AI.

Jen White, General Counsel
At Auger, "White’s excited to enable the innovators who will reinvent the supply chain."

Caitlin Dietrich, Head of Marketing & Communications
From launching early Kindle devices to guiding communications for Jeff Bezos at Blue Origin, "Dietrich knows how to take visionary ideas and make the world believe in them. At Amazon, she advised senior leadership and drove company messaging on complex, high-stakes topics across business and policy initiatives. Now at Auger, she’s crafting the story of a company that’s here to transform global logistics and inspire everyone who hears about it."

Jessica Amato, Chief People Officer
With deep expertise in human resources, recruiting and people analytics, "Amato’s creating a workplace at Auger that will attract the best and inspire them to be unstoppable."

Clark writes: "The global supply chain touches everything. From the food we eat to the devices in our hands, it powers the modern economy. But for too long, it’s been plagued by inefficiencies, outdated systems and fractured processes. Auger’s team sees this as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to reinvent the backbone of the global economy. With this team at the helm, one thing is certain: the future isn’t just coming — it’s already being built."
