CEVA Logistics has extended its agreement with global biopharmaceutical company GSK for another five years and will continue managing GSK's distribution centre in Robakowo, near Poznań, Poland. The facility plays a key role in GSK's supply chain across Northern and Central Europe.

CEVA has managed the Robakowo facility since 2012, providing logistics services and value-added solutions for the pharmaceutical sector. Over the past 14 years, the company has improved operations through continuous process improvements, strategic investments and regular audits. The distribution centre is fully compliant with ISO 9001:2015 standards.

The Robakowo site is one of four distribution centres managed by CEVA for GSK in Europe, alongside facilities in France, Italy and Spain. Together, these centres distribute around 32 million units of pharmaceutical products, over-the-counter medicines and vaccines every month. They also handle urgent deliveries to customers and patients across 39 European markets.

The Robakowo distribution centre supplies pharmaceuticals and vaccines to 13 countries in Northern and Central Europe. It processes more than 2,900 inbound orders and over 51,000 outbound orders each month.

The warehouse covers more than 9,830 square metres and has capacity for 12,000 pallet positions. It includes temperature-controlled storage areas ranging from 2–8°C and 15–25°C, along with a cold storage area, a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) zone and a repackaging area.

CEVA is responsible for warehouse operations and distribution, including loading and unloading, order picking, packing, repackaging, quality control and returns management. All operations are carried out in line with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards, supported by teams responsible for quality control and regulatory compliance.

The company uses a healthcare Warehouse Management System (WMS) designed for the pharmaceutical industry to manage the facility. The distribution centre also uses advanced automation and robotics, including automated bundling machines, automated FMD/GMP code printing and scanning systems, and collaborative robots for repalletising and pick-and-place operations.

The facility also includes low-emission technologies to support CEVA and GSK's sustainability goals. These include energy optimisation systems, digital processes that reduce paper documentation, and intelligent LED and DALI lighting systems.

Jean-Romain Plault, CL Director Eastern Europe at CEVA Logistics, said the extension reflects GSK's trust in the company and recognises its experience and expertise in pharmaceutical logistics. He added that CEVA will continue developing solutions to support a fast and reliable supply chain for patients across Europe.
