Months before the lights, the music, and the crowds, the groundwork begins with detailed coordination across continents, hundreds of shipments, and a tight production calendar that leaves little room for improvisation.

Set against the backdrop of Dubai Parks and Resorts, UNTOLD Dubai 2025 is not just an entertainment event; it’s a feat of engineering and operational discipline. The festival brings together thousands of people, multiple large-scale stages, immersive digital installations, and an ecosystem of vendors and technical crews, all synchronized to deliver a seamless experience.

Behind the spectacle is UNTOLD Universe, the powerhouse production team that also delivers Massif, Neversea Kapital, UNTOLD Europe, and other major festivals worldwide. Their internal crew works throughout the year, studying local markets, mapping supplier networks, and preparing for the immense build-up and teardown phases that define each event.

This approach pays off when scale meets schedule. Over 300 trucks of stage and event equipment rolled into Dubai beginning October 17, with operations running until November 19. The logistics plan accounts for customs coordination, transport routing, and assembly sequencing, ensuring that every component arrives on time and in the correct order of installation.

To maintain this rhythm, UNTOLD’s production team builds strategic flexibility into their timelines, adding buffer windows to handle unexpected hurdles. When deadlines tighten, they transition into a 24-hour operation, doubling manpower and extending shifts to maintain momentum.

“Our pre-production plan includes safety margins based on lessons from past editions,” says Radu Rus, Head of Production at UNTOLD Dubai. “When time runs short, we switch to a 24-hour schedule, using every available hour to deliver the show at the highest standard.”

For 2025, the venue layout at Dubai Parks and Resorts introduced a unique layer of complexity. Unlike purpose-built festival grounds, the location required coordination between UNTOLD’s dynamic on-ground processes and the venue’s more regulated systems. The collaboration has since evolved into a learning partnership, one that refines workflows and sets a new standard for large-scale entertainment events in the UAE.

The project also demonstrates how Dubai’s logistics ecosystem supports such high-intensity productions. From efficient road access and storage capacity to clearances and on-site mobility, the emirate’s infrastructure enables global-scale events to operate with minimal disruption.

Beyond logistics, UNTOLD Dubai has embraced sustainability as a key operational pillar. The festival has replaced traditional water ballast tanks with concrete blocks to conserve water, connected vendors to local power substations to reduce generator dependency, and adopted a waste segregation system that separates recyclable materials during the event.

In parallel, the growing use of electric buggies and scissor lifts marks a shift toward cleaner machinery and reduced emissions during setup and dismantling phases. Together, these initiatives illustrate how large-scale events can balance grandeur with responsibility.
