Liege Airport reports 23% YoY cargo growth in Q3 2025
Cargo flights during the quarter also rose by 9%, reflecting sustained demand.

Liege Airport handled 334,956 tonnes of freight between July and September 2025, marking a 23% increase compared to the same period last year.

On a year-to-date basis, the airport’s total cargo throughput is up 14.4%.
“This momentum is driven by strong e-commerce imports and the solid performance of European exports through our platform (+26% vs 2024),” Liege Airport said in a LinkedIn post.
After nine months, the airport has achieved a major milestone — becoming Europe’s leading full-freighter airport, with 961,640 tonnes of air cargo handled so far this year.
Adding to the momentum, France Aviation Civile Services’ global air traffic survey for 2019–2024 ranked Liege Airport among the world’s top five cargo airports by freight growth, recording a 29% increase over the five-year period.
“This is a collective performance that confirms our role as a sustainable, efficient, and multimodal logistics hub at the heart of Europe,” the airport added.
