Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has become the main sponsor of the Mission to Marsh European Film Tour 2025, showcasing its ongoing commitment to sustainability and climate protection. The film tour is part of a broader initiative aimed at increasing awareness about the importance of wetlands, which act as crucial carbon sinks and habitats for numerous endangered species.

The documentary film, Mission to Marsh, is scheduled to be screened across 20 European cities, kicking off in Leipzig on March 22, 2025. The tour will subsequently travel to several key cities including Brussels, Paris, and Milan, spreading the message on wetland conservation. At each location, the film screening will be complemented by panel discussions involving local environmental organisations and the film’s creators, who are also the founders of the non-profit organisation, Mission to Marsh.

Stefan Borggreve, Chief Operating Officer Road, Rail, CEP at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, emphasised the importance of this initiative: “Supporting the Mission to Marsh European Film Tour is a matter close to our hearts. Sustainability has been integral to our company ethos for decades. Besides ecological considerations, our sustainability commitment also carries a strong social dimension. We believe that protecting ecosystems begins with understanding their value, and this project effectively highlights wetlands as vital to climate protection.”

Alexander Kornelsen, Managing Director of Mission to Marsh and the filmmaker behind the documentary, highlighted the significance of partnering with Hellmann. “In Hellmann, we have found a strong partner who recognises that effective climate protection demands collaboration across different sectors. Through our joint efforts, we aim to inspire concrete actions and motivate communities across Europe to actively participate in wetland conservation,” said Kornelsen.

Wetlands play a significant role in environmental sustainability due to their capacity to absorb and store large amounts of carbon dioxide, effectively helping combat climate change. They are also vital ecosystems providing habitats for diverse plant and animal species, many of which face threats from ongoing ecological degradation.
