Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) has invited three local artists to create murals in the stairwell of its SuperTerminal 1 offices to encourage staff to appreciate art while reflecting on the connection between humans and nature.

Bao Ho, Eason Page, and Aka C. have painted individual murals inspired by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) “Climate Action” (SDG 13) and “Life Below Water” (SDG 14).

A lunch talk titled “From Ordinary to Extraordinary – The Transformation Journey of SDG Gallery” introduced Hactl staff to the concept and vision behind the project and allowed the artists to share their inspirations.

Bao Ho’s "Whispers of the Sea" depicts an ocean guardian, highlighting the relationship between humans and nature. Eason Page’s installation "Between the Waves" uses discarded plastic, sand, and seashells to encourage reflection on humanity’s connection with the ocean. Aka C.’s "Symphony of Time and Tides" features a crystal ball symbolising whale protection and emphasising marine conservation.

Hactl plans to continue promoting the SDGs through creative initiatives, including decorating its stairwell with different themes and topics.
