GEODIS, a leading global logistics provider, has celebrated the 500th dedicated freighter flight from Asia to Guadalajara, Mexico, highlighting the success and reliability of its specialised cargo service. Operated in partnership with Atlas Air, the service has consistently delivered secured capacity, reduced lead times, and end-to-end reliability, becoming a key component of GEODIS’ regional strategy and its customers’ supply chains.

Launched in 2019, the service runs two weekly flights from Shanghai and Hong Kong directly to Guadalajara. It has remained operational throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and recent global supply chain disruptions, demonstrating the resilience of the route and GEODIS commitment to its clients.

Miguel Munoz, Managing Director at GEODIS in Mexico, said, “Reaching 500 flights is an incredible achievement and proves our unwavering commitment to our customers in Mexico and the Latin American region. This milestone strengthens GEODIS Mexico’s position in the local market and reflects the strong collaboration between our teams in Mexico, Asia, Paris, and the U.S. We are committed to reaching 1,000 flights and continuing to support our customers growth.”

The dedicated freighter service offers an integrated, end-to-end solution. Flights land in Guadalajara and connect with a robust ground network that provides daily deliveries to major cities, including Mexico City and Monterrey. Shipments can clear customs in Guadalajara or be moved bonded to their final destination before clearance, maintaining speed and reliability across the supply chain.

The 500th flight was celebrated at Guadalajara airport with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and the unveiling of a commemorative plaque by GEODIS leaders. The milestone reinforces Mexico’s role as a strategic gateway for GEODIS, strengthening logistics links between Asia and South America and supporting the company’s vision of delivering innovative and flexible global air freight solutions.
