April 20, 2018: Fraport AG is building a new cargo warehouse in the CargoCity South at Frankfurt Airport for cargo handler Swissport International.

The handler has inked a long-term lease agreement with the airport operator for the new air cargo facility. With construction starting in 2019, the facility will be handed over to the handler in 2020.

This warehouse will be the third largest in Swissport’s global network of 133 air cargo warehouses.

“Swissport is committing a double-digit million Euro amount towards the new facility at Frankfurt Airport. Infrastructure plays a key role in optimising our service delivery and reaching the ambitious efficiency and reliability goals for our clients around the world,” informs Willy Ruf, SVP Swissport Germany, Austria & Switzerland.
