March 30, 2018: Singapore Airlines (SIA) recently received its first 787-10 Dreamliner, at the Changi Airport. It’s the newest variant of Boeing’s Dreamliner.

SIA’s new 787-10 Dreamliner will be fitted with next-generation regional cabin products. It includes all-new business class seats, which can recline into fully-flat beds.

“The 787-10 is designed with the latest in technological innovations, and SIA is proud to be the launch customer for this newest and largest variant of Boeing’s Dreamliner family,” said Goh Choon Phong, CEO, Singapore Airlines.

“With the launch of our new regional cabin products, today’s milestones represent Singapore Airlines’ commitment and dedication to provide our customers with a premium travel experience like no other,” said Phong.

SIA’s 787-10s will commence its scheduled service between Singapore, Osaka and Perth, in May, and subsequently add more destinations, after it receives additional aircraft. Prior to these services, the aircraft will be operated on select routes to Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur, for crew training purpose.

SIA is the largest customer for the 787-10, has placed orders for 49 aircraft. The airline also has a firm order with Boeing for 20 777-9s, which is expected be delivered in the financial year 2021-22.
