February 7, 2018: IBS Software (IBS), the IT solutions specialist for aviation industry has recently entered into a seven years contract with Korean Air, a leading airline in the air cargo industry, to manage its end-to-end cargo system.

According to the contract, IBS will be implementing its award winning cargo management solution, iCargo, which will optimise the end-to-end cargo business performance of the Korean Air.

With implementation of the iCargo tool, Korean Air will migrate from its existing legacy core system and satellite systems, to a fully integrated New-Gen technology platform.

The iCargo system will offer the full scope of business operations for the Korean Air, including reservation, sales, terminal operations management and revenue accounting into a single integrated platform.

It will enable the airline to upgrade several value-added capabilities, such as revenue and yield management, product management, real time shipment monitoring and control, and advanced technology capabilities like enterprise mobility, to elevate its cargo business and operations to a much higher level of efficiency.

The iCargo platform will also enable Korean Air to sync with industry-driven standards and best practices, such as eAWB and CXML.

Currently, Korean Air owns 161 aircraft, and operates scheduled flights to 123 cities across 43 countries, including 13 cities in Korea.
