Global K9 to handle all cargo screening for WFS at Dallas and Houston airports
GK9 will deploy canine teams, X-ray systems, and compliance officers to ensure secure cargo screening operations.

Global K9 (GK9) has been appointed as the exclusive cargo screening provider for Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) at two key US airports, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). The air cargo detection company will now handle all screening operations at both locations, including certified canine teams, X-ray screening, and compliance officers.
DFW, which acts as WFS’ US headquarters and one of its busiest hubs in North America by cargo volume, will see all cargo cleared for loading by GK9. The new agreement also covers IAH, where GK9 will ensure compliance and safety at every step of the screening process.
GK9’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Eric Hare, said: “Our operations offer a complete detection solution for air cargo, enabling us to manage every aspect of the screening process with a high level of precision, and we’re looking forward to providing this for such a long-running customer. Being the sole screening provider for one of WFS’ most important locations in the US is a testament to the consistency of GK9's work since the beginning of our partnership.”
In 2024, WFS processed over 250,000 tonnes of cargo at DFW and 115,000 tonnes at IAH.
Ben Dawson, Vice President Operations, WFS Americas, stated: “Efficiency throughout our operations is essential to WFS and our customers, especially at our busiest locations; but this can never be at the expense of safety and security. Partnering with Global K9 allows us to deliver the high level of service our customers have come to rely on while meeting stringent compliance standards for the safe and secure movement of cargo.”
GK9 began working with WFS in 2021 and now supports operations across nine major US cities, including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, Portland, and San Francisco, covering over 25 WFS facilities.
