DHL eCommerce, Poste Italiane launch Locker Italia
Joint venture follows a provider-agnostic approach, offering maximum convenience to shippers and recipients.
DHL eCommerce and Poste Italiane announced the launch of Locker Italia, a joint venture aimed to establish a modern and convenient parcel locker network across Italy.
The milestone comes one year after DHL Group and Poste Italiane entered their strategic partnership for the Italian and international parcel market, says an official release from DHL. "The inaugural event took place on September 16 in Rome where the first parcel locker of Locker Italia was officially unveiled. In the near future, 10,000 lockers with user-friendly interfaces will be strategically placed at key locations throughout the country. Locker Italia follows a provider-agnostic approach, offering maximum convenience to shippers and recipients."
The joint venture, under the leadership of Enrico Rosina, CEO, Locker Italia, is committed to creating a seamless and efficient experience, irrespective of the carrier, the release added.

"Since April, we have seamlessly integrated our DHL eCommerce parcel volumes into the extensive network of Poste Italiane. With the introduction of Locker Italia, our joint venture, we are introducing a new level of convenience and security in parcel delivery and shipping for both shippers and customers. Our aspiration with this provider-agnostic network is to become the leading locker provider in the Italian market."

DHL eCommerce is supporting Poste Italiane by connecting them with its European network while Poste Italiane handles the delivery of parcels from DHL eCommerce and DHL Parcel Germany across Italy, the release added.
