Matternet begins trading on OTCQB as the first public drone delivery firm
Matternet became the first publicly traded pure-play drone delivery company, launching on the OTCQB market under MTTN.

Matternet, Inc., an autonomous aerial logistics technology company and the only drone delivery platform to hold a standard Type Certification and Production Certification from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), has officially qualified to trade its common stock on the OTCQB Venture Market. The stock commenced trading on, under the ticker symbol "MTTN". This milestone firmly establishes Matternet as the first publicly traded pure-play drone delivery firm.
The transition to the OTCQB quotation is expected to significantly broaden Matternet's visibility and access to the capital markets. The company is actively preparing to launch its next-generation drone delivery platform and scale its commercial operations across the retail, healthcare, food, and industrial logistics sectors.
This public market debut builds upon an oversubscribed private placement and a series of significant corporate achievements. Recent milestones include launching drone delivery operations for the UK's National Health Service, entering into a strategic partnership with SoftBank Robotics America to scale networks, and expanding its network of FAA Part 135 operating partners, which includes UPS Flight Forward, Ameriflight, and Beeline UAS. Furthermore, Matternet recently appointed Sanjay Shah and Sanjay Kotte to its Board of Directors, bringing valuable leadership experience from major companies including Starbucks, Tesla, Amazon, and DoorDash.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer Andreas Raptopoulos emphasized the strategic timing of this expansion. "As we enter the era of physical AI, we believe 2026 is an inflection point for drone delivery in the United States," Raptopoulos stated. "In the next few years, we believe drone delivery will become part of the infrastructure we all rely on to receive everyday goods. Now that our shares are trading, we can bring public investors into that opportunity as we build what we believe will become an essential layer of transportation infrastructure."
Raptopoulos also highlighted the practical efficiency of autonomous aerial technology compared to traditional ground transport. "Drone delivery creates a fundamentally better way to move small, time-sensitive goods. Instead of sending a two-ton vehicle through traffic to deliver a meal or a small retail item, a small electric autonomous aircraft can move it directly through the air in minutes. Over the next few years, we believe drone delivery will touch virtually every industry that depends on or can benefit from instant logistics, from food and retail to healthcare and high-value B2B applications."
To date, Matternet's technology has enabled more than 60,000 commercial flights across dense urban and suburban environments in the U.S. and Europe, building on a legacy that began with humanitarian missions in 2014.
