Nathan De Valck has been appointed as the new CEO of Antwerp and Ostend airports, effective June 2025, following a decision by the French infrastructure group Egis, which operates both airports. The move follows the departure of the previous CEO, Bruno De Saegher, who stepped down from the position in November 2024 after a brief tenure. Eric Dumas, who had temporarily taken over the role, will hand over the leadership to De Valck, a seasoned executive with over two decades of experience in the air cargo sector.

De Valck is currently the managing director for Belgium at Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), a global air cargo logistics provider operating in over 158 locations worldwide. He joined WFS in November 2022 and has been responsible for overseeing cargo and ramp services at major Belgian airports, including Brussels Airport (BRU) and Liège Airport (LGG).

Before joining WFS, De Valck worked at Brussels Airport Company for over a decade, holding roles such as head of cargo – product and network development, where he led the strategic development of key cargo sectors like life sciences, perishables, and e-commerce.

He also served as a board member at Air Cargo Belgium and held leadership roles in industry groups like Pharma.Aero, where he was a co-founder and chairman, and the Cool Chain Association, where he contributed to network development and conference organisation.

Antwerp and Ostend airports, both regional hubs in Belgium, are known for their strong focus on niche markets and regional connectivity. Antwerp Airport primarily serves business and leisure travellers, while Ostend Airport focuses on cargo operations and charter services. Both airports are operated by Egis, a French engineering group with a significant presence in the global airport management sector.
