Scan Global Logistics charters 747F to move luxury cars to Manila
The Denmark-headqurtered freight forwarder transports 15 luxury vehicles from Germany to Manila using an Atlas Air B747F charter.

Scan Global Logistics (SGL) has completed an air charter transport of 15 luxury vehicles from Germany to Manila, showcasing an achievement in terms of handling complex automotive logistics projects. According to a social media update by Dodee Molina, Managing Director – Philippines at Scan Global Logistics, the shipment was managed by the company’s charter team using an Boeing 747 freighter operated by Atlas Air on behalf of Qantas Airways.
The vehicles were transported by air from Germany and handled upon arrival at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 in Manila. While praising the support from ground handling team at dnata, which ensures the safe unloading of the vehicles onto the tarmac.
Following arrival, the vehicles were transferred under the supervision of the SGL Philippines airfreight team and later loaded onto car carriers for onward delivery to the consignee. The operation required close coordination between international logistics teams, airline partners and ground handling providers to ensure the secure movement of the high-value cargo.
This shipments comes at the time, when the Southeast Asian country is going through a national energy crisis. On March 24, Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr has declared a state of national energy emergency due to the Middle East conflict and the potential risk to the country’s energy supply. The government has also formed a committee to ensure the orderly movement and availability of fuel, food, medicines, agricultural products and other essential goods.
