Kuehne+Nagel UAE has opened a hub for Rolls-Royce aircraft engines in Dubai to improve engine deliveries in the Middle East. Rolls-Royce supplies aircraft engines globally and has centres in the Netherlands, US, and UK. The UAE centre expansion is for the new Al Maktoum Airport in Dubai and expected air traffic growth.

The 3,000 sqm facility is in Kuehne+Nagel's Dubai South hub and has been refurbished for fulfilment operations. The facility has an electric overhead crane, a runway, and a bridge for moving equipment and loading/unloading trucks.

The centre will store Rolls-Royce Trent engines, spare parts, units, and nacelles.The facility is located within Kuehne+Nagel's existing hub in Dubai South and has undergone refurbishment to optimise fulfilment operations.

According to Adrian Cuthell, Senior Vice President On-Wing Operations and Logistics at Rolls-Royce, "The strategic location, reliability, and trust in Kuehne+Nagel's logistics solutions, along with our long-standing global partnership, were key factors in selecting them to operate our hub in Dubai."

Stephanie Kearney, Head of EMEA and Global Operating Standards Contract Logistics at Kuehne+Nagel, stated, "Our teams have worked diligently to ensure every aspect of the design is carefully tailored to support both the fulfilment and delivery teams operating in the centre, as well as the engines themselves, which, despite their size and weight, require the most delicate handling."

Kuehne+Nagel supports Rolls-Royce across multiple locations worldwide, delivering customised logistics solutions. The inauguration ceremony took place on February 27, 2025.
