Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) announces that Brazil's Agência Nacional de Aviaço Civil (ANAC) has approved AEI's STC (ST02690LA) for the 12-pallet position B737-800SF freighter conversion. For the B737-800SF, AEI has received FAA, CAAC, EASA, TCCA, UK CAA, CAACI (Cayman Islands), DCA (Guernsey), and now ANAC approval.

AEI is the only conversion company that presently has ETOPS 180 permission for the 737-800 freighter conversion. AEI can also convert all 737-800 line number aircraft, including those equipped with Flat Aft Pressure Bulkheads and Split Scimitar winglets.

The AEI converted B737-800SF freighter has a main deck payload of up to 52,700 lbs. (23,904 kg) and eleven full height 88" x 125" container spaces, plus an AEP/AEH position. The conversion also includes new wing box floor beams and a large 86" x 137" Main Cargo Door with a single vent door system.

AEI's innovative design allows containers to be put into the aircraft 16.5" aft of the forward door jamb, guaranteeing ground personnel has enough maneuvering area to avoid potential door and aircraft impacts. The AEI B737-800SF also has a flexible Ancra Cargo Loading System, a hard 9g barrier, five standard supernumerary seats, a galley, and a complete lavatory.
