Frankfurt, in its weekly report for April 20-26, recorded a drop of 12.9 percent in cargo volumes. Total cargo (airfreight + airmail) stood at 33,694 metric tonnes. The cargo volumes, considering the past weekly reports, are seemly recovering as some airlines use passenger airplanes as freighter only aircraft. However, the report shows a continued reduction of cargo throughput, due to lack of belly freight (shipped on passenger aircraft).

Passenger numbers remain very low at 45,270, recording a drop of 96.8 percent compared to the same week last year. Repatriation of passengers is largely completed, and total aircraft movements are down by 84 percent at the airport.
