Hong Kong – KLN Logistics Group Limited (KLN; Stock Code 0636.HK) has announced two senior leadership appointments aimed at accelerating its global growth strategy and strengthening operational efficiency. The move comes as the Hong Kong-listed logistics group steps up efforts to position itself as a fully integrated global player in the sector.
Effective October 1, 2025, Wong Siew Loong has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of KLN. Wong joined the company less than a year ago as Chief Commercial Officer in November 2024, and now assumes a wider remit that covers global operations. His focus will include improving financial discipline, optimising resources, and leading initiatives that enhance scalability and innovation.
Before joining KLN, Wong was President of the Asia Pacific region at Kuehne+Nagel in Singapore. With over 25 years of leadership experience across the transportation and logistics sector, he is recognised for steering complex global operations and delivering strategic transformation. His appointment signals KLN’s intent to inject fresh international perspectives into its leadership as it expands into new markets.
Alongside this change, Samuel Lau has been promoted to Managing Director – Integrated Logistics. Lau, who has been with KLN since 2000, has been instrumental in building and shaping the company’s logistics network in Asia. In his new global role, he will lead KLN’s integrated logistics business, focusing on expanding service capabilities, consolidating the group’s network, and strengthening synergies across business segments.
Commenting on the appointments, Vic Cheung, Executive Director and CEO of KLN, said: “These appointments reflect our confidence in Siew Loong and Samuel’s exceptional leadership. With Siew Loong’s extensive international experience and strategic acumen, and Samuel’s deep operational expertise and long-standing commitment to KLN, we are strengthening our leadership team to support our next phase of growth. Their expanded roles will be critical in driving our transformation into a global logistics powerhouse.”
From a strategic standpoint, the dual appointments balance external expertise with internal continuity. Wong’s international background offers the company a broader outlook and sharper operational alignment, while Lau’s long service provides stability and a deep understanding of KLN’s culture and strengths. Together, their leadership underscores KLN’s ambition to evolve into a globally integrated and performance-driven logistics organisation.
Stakeholders will now be watching how these changes translate into tangible improvements in efficiency, customer service, and global network integration. With logistics markets facing increasing complexity, KLN’s reinforced leadership team will play a critical role in navigating the challenges ahead and positioning the group as a stronger competitor on the global stage.
