AIR ONE has appointed Clair Gunn as its new Commercial Operations Director as the company continues to expand its presence in air charter, scheduled cargo, and wet lease services worldwide.
In her new role, Gunn will oversee the Group’s commercial operations, including fleet capacity planning, network and schedule design, and revenue performance across both charter and scheduled services. She will also collaborate closely with AIR ONE’s subsidiary and affiliate airlines to improve fleet utilisation and enhance customer value.
Gunn joined AIR ONE in January 2023 as Deputy Head of Charters. With over 25 years of experience in the aviation industry, she has held senior roles in Operations, Commercial, and Key Account Management.
Commenting on the appointment, Peter Scholten, Chief Commercial Officer at AIR ONE, said: “Clair’s appointment is an important step in aligning our commercial and operational functions as we continue to grow. Her deep understanding of cargo markets and proven leadership will ensure we maximise efficiency across the network while creating new opportunities for our customers worldwide.”
The appointment reflects AIR ONE’s ambition to strengthen its global cargo offering with a focus on an agile network, optimised capacity, and tailored shipment solutions. Over the past five years, the company and its airline partners have completed more than 3,750 full charters, carrying over 345,000 tonnes of cargo to more than 100 destinations across the globe.
In September, AIR ONE also launched its first scheduled freighter services with a four-times weekly Boeing 747-400F operation between Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. The company plans to add more destinations soon.
