CB Customs Broker, a specialist in e-commerce customs clearance, and air cargo handling expert LUG aircargo handling announced their new partnership at Frankfurt Airport during the transport logistic trade fair in Munich.

"The aim: to accelerate and streamline the processing of cross-border e-commerce imports," says an official release from CB Customs Broker.

At the core of the partnership is a dedicated, scalable 6,000 m² warehouse space within the LUG aircargo handling terminal in CargoCity South, the release added. "CB Customs Broker’s proprietary software, supported by custom scanners, automates per-parcel customs clearance, transmits all required data to authorities and steers handling and sorting on site. The solution meets all regulatory standards and can process hundreds of thousands of shipments daily."

Uwe Glunz, Managing Director, CB Customs Broker says: "With LUG, we gained a strong, experienced partner at the 'first line of CargoCity South. Our e-commerce customs clearance solution, combined with direct apron access, saves time on import customs processing. This improves connectivity and time to market for international online retailers."

Patrik Tschirch, Managing Director, LUG aircargo handling adds: "In the rapidly growing e-commerce sector, speed is the most critical factor. With CB Customs Broker, we have a partner who has perfected customs processing in this area and knows the business well. Together, we aim to continue growing in this segment and look forward to further collaboration.”
