GEODIS has strengthened its healthcare logistics capabilities in Switzerland after securing ISO, CEIV Pharma, and GDP certifications within a six-month period, marking a step in its expansion across regulated and high-value sectors.

The certifications reflect compliance with standards in pharmaceutical logistics, including quality control, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. The company stated that these accreditations support its focus on healthcare and life sciences, with Switzerland positioned as a key hub for such operations in Europe.

GEODIS Switzerland said its CEIV Pharma and GDP certifications enable temperature-controlled transport and end-to-end traceability for pharmaceutical shipments. These capabilities are supported by a quality management framework aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards, covering operations such as freight management, project logistics, and supply chain solutions.

Alongside its certification progress, the company has expanded its physical presence in the country. It has relocated and enlarged its offices in Zurich and Basel and opened a new site in Geneva. The company said the expansion is aimed at improving coordination between teams and strengthening service delivery across Switzerland.

The new offices are structured to support operational workflows and employee requirements while enabling closer engagement with customers across sectors.

“These recent developments reflect our ambition to further cement GEODIS’ position in Switzerland and to support our customers in key sectors such as healthcare, retail, FMCG and project logistics," said David Erismann, Managing Director, Freight Forwarding, GEODIS in Switzerland. “With these certifications, our robust organisational structure and our expanded presence, we are enhancing our ability to deliver reliable, compliant and innovative logistics solutions.”

GEODIS stated that these developments strengthen its role in Switzerland by supporting companies with supply chain solutions across regulated industries.

The company operates across nearly 170 countries with a workforce of 48,000 employees. In 2025, it reported revenue of €10.6 billion and is owned by SNCF Group.
