Reliable Robotics raises $160m to scale autonomous aircraft
Funds will support certification, boost production capacity and expand deployment of uncrewed flight systems globally.
Reliable Robotics has raised $160 million in new funding to accelerate the deployment of its autonomous flight technology and support its path towards certification and commercial operations.
The funding round was led by Nimble Partners, with participation from new and existing investors. The company said the investment will help scale its autonomous aircraft systems and expand its operations.
Reliable Robotics plans to use the funds to advance certification of its Reliable Autonomy System and increase production capacity. The system is designed to automate all phases of flight, including taxi, take-off and landing.
The company is working towards meeting regulatory requirements for uncrewed cargo operations and is building the necessary evidence for certification.
Reliable Robotics has also secured commitments for more than 200 systems from customers, reflecting demand for its autonomous technology across commercial and military sectors.
Its approach focuses on retrofitting existing aircraft with autonomous systems, allowing for faster deployment compared to developing entirely new aircraft platforms.
