Qatar Airways Cargo and Cainiao expand e-commerce partnership
The long-term collaboration will expand capacity and improve trade flows between China, Europe and other regions.;
Qatar Airways Cargo and Cainiao has signed an expanded strategic partnership to accelerate global cross-border e-commerce deliveries. The agreement was formalised by Mark Drusch, Chief Officer Cargo at Qatar Airways Cargo, and Wan Lin, Chief Executive Officer at Cainiao, during the Cainiao Global Smart Logistics Summit, with Sheikh Ali Alwaleed Al-Thani, Chief Executive Officer at Invest Qatar, also present.
Under the agreement, Cainiao will more than double its weekly charter flights on China–Europe routes using Qatar Airways Cargo’s network and fleet. The expanded capacity will allow merchants to access a wider flight schedule and support Chinese businesses seeking to grow in overseas markets.
