Lufthansa Cargo transports drift car for European Championship
Lufthansa Cargo successfully transported a professional drift car belonging to Egyptian driver Karim Hany from Cairo to Vilnius for the Drift Masters Championship 2026.
The Cargo airline shared that at Lufthansa Cargo, performance is reflected not only in what they transport, but also in the way they handle every shipment. One recent example was the transport of a professional drift car for Egyptian driver Karim Hany, who is competing in the Drift Masters European Championship 2026.
Based on the iconic BMW E46 platform and built for elite-level drifting, the vehicle required specialised logistics support. The shipment was carefully planned and managed from acceptance in Cairo (CAI) through Frankfurt (FRA) and onward to Vilnius (VNO), with secure loading, monitoring, and handling throughout the journey.
While the airline posted the information on its LinkedIn post, they described that each cargo movement serves a purpose whether it supports industries, drives business growth, or helps turn ambitions into reality.
Lufthansa Cargo extended its appreciation to all employees and partners involved in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable transport of this high-value, time-sensitive cargo.
