Liege Airport has highlighted nearly 30 years of partnership between CargoLand by LGG and Challenge Group, a relationship that began in 1996 when Challenge became the first carrier to establish operations at the Belgian cargo hub.

Over the past three decades, the collaboration has developed into a strategic alliance built on trust, agility and a long-term vision. Today, Liege Airport plays a central role in Challenge Group’s European network, serving as a key cargo hub that supports global trade connections while maintaining the speed and flexibility expected by customers.

The partnership is further strengthened by Challenge Group’s ongoing fleet expansion. Within less than two years, the group is expected to operate six Boeing 777-300 freighters, increasing its total capacity by around 75 percent. Liege Airport is positioned as a natural platform for this growth.

Through Challenge Airlines, high-value and time-critical cargo is transported daily across several sectors including live animals, aerospace, e-commerce, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, automotive and industrial goods, as well as general cargo.

Liege Airport said these complex cargo flows require precision and reliability, qualities that define both Challenge Group and CargoLand by LGG as they continue to expand and innovate within the global air cargo industry.
