Finnair Cargo appoints ACP Worldwide as GSSA in Australia, NZ
The appointment comes ahead of Finnair’s first Australia service, with a daily Helsinki-Melbourne route via Bangkok starting in October 2026.
Finnair Cargo has appointed ACP Worldwide as its new General Sales & Service Agent (GSSA) in Australia and New Zealand, effective 1 August 2026.
The appointment is aimed at strengthening Finnair Cargo’s presence in the Australian and New Zealand markets and providing customers with dedicated local sales and customer service support across the region.
ACP Worldwide brings air cargo expertise and a local network to support Finnair Cargo’s connections between Australia, Europe, Asia and North America through its Helsinki hub.
The appointment comes ahead of Finnair’s first-ever service to Australia. On 26 October 2026, the airline will launch a daily service between Helsinki and Melbourne via Bangkok. The route will create new opportunities for passenger and cargo traffic between Australia and Europe and will be operated with Airbus A350 aircraft.
“Australia is an important and growing market for Finnair Cargo, and we are delighted to welcome ACP Worldwide as our GSSA partner. Their strong local expertise, customer focus and market knowledge make them an excellent fit for our business,” said Tiina Saari, Sales Director North America, ANZ & Global Product Management, Finnair Cargo.
“Together, we look forward to supporting our customers across Australia and New Zealand while preparing for an exciting new chapter with the launch of Finnair’s Melbourne service later this year,” she added.
Josephine Agresta, Sales Manager Australia, ACP Worldwide, said the company was proud that Finnair Cargo recognised its commitment to quality representation through its people.
“Our group's significant investment in digitalisation and data-driven solutions ensures that our local people are in the best position to obtain the best possible outcome on behalf of its represented carriers,” she said.
ACP Worldwide has been operating in the Australian market for close to 30 years. The company said the appointment will allow it to connect the freight forwarding community with Finnair’s new Melbourne-Helsinki route via Bangkok.
Finnair Cargo has been expanding its use of local sales partners across key regional markets. In July 2026, the carrier appointed 4RCargo as its GSSA for Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, providing local commercial and operational support while connecting customers in the Baltic markets to Finnair Cargo’s network through Helsinki.
The appointment followed 4RCargo’s selection as Finnair Cargo’s GSA for the Baltic region, announced in June 2026. The agreement marked 4RCargo’s first airline contract in the region since it established its Baltic operations in February 2026.
Finnair Cargo is also strengthening its operations at its Helsinki hub. From 1 January 2027, the carrier will take over warehouse and transport operations at its Cargo COOL terminal from Swissport Finland. Around 150 Swissport Finland employees will join Finnair Cargo as part of the business transfer. The move is intended to improve end-to-end processes and operational efficiency while supporting future growth.
Finnair has a network across Europe and specialises in transporting temperature-controlled cargo, including seafood, pharmaceuticals and perishable products.
